Pino Silvestre: The difference between Original and Classico
The fragrance Pino Silvestre was created by the Vidal company in the 1950s and is now one of the Italian classics among fragrance creations.
The company Vidal was founded by the brothers Lino, Renzo and Mario Vidal at that time and produced until the early 80s various fragrances and care products.
In 1981 the company was sold to the Henkel Group. Henkel produced and distributed Pino Silvestre until 1986.
In 1986, the son of Renzo Vidal - Massimo Vidal bought back the rights of Pino Silvestre and took them over to his company Mavive.
To date, Pino Silvestre Original are manufactured by Mavive. We therefore uniquely identify the Pino products with Mavive.
At the same time, Weruska & Joel acquired the rights for the Italian market, which explains why two manufacturers share the market (mavive for worldwide export, Weruska & Joel for Italy).
We label the Weruksa & Joel products with Classico to allow easy separation of manufacturers.
Please note that both manufacturers offer approximately the same scent, only for different markets.
