The likeable brand HYDROPHIL stands for newly conceived and sustainable hygiene products, starting with products for oral hygiene to soaps and lip balms. With its products, the company wants to bring the topics of sustainability and scarcity of resources closer to consumers and has a clear mission: to sensitize customers to more sustainable consumption in their everyday lives with its products."We want to achieve beautiful things with beautiful things.", said the Hamburg company founders.

All HYDROPHIL products are water neutral, vegan and fair. And they also meet other environmental requirements. The company only uses natural raw materials for its production, which do not endanger groundwater and drinking water and do not require artificial irrigation. In this way, water consumption can be significantly reduced. In order to positively influence our world, the products do not contain animal products, nor are the products tested on animals. In addition, the company takes the view that fair work deserves fair remuneration. HYDROPHIL keeps an eye on its entire value chain down to the smallest detail and ensures that its products are fairly produced.

It all started with the HYDROPHIL brand with a blog about water. Christoph, Sebastian and Wanja, 3 friends from the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, already addressed all facets of this topic in their blog. Because besides the air we breathe, water is the most important resource for plants, animals and humans. And without water, there would be no life. In their blog, the Hamburgers deal with a wide variety of aspects relating to the topic of water, such as sustainable use or conflicts over this valuable resource.

If you look at our globe, you might think that water is an infinite good, because two thirds of our earth is covered with water. However, only 3% of these are fresh water and therefore drinkable. The resource water is therefore very limited. The consequences of this scarcity of resources are frightening, because billions of people worldwide have no access to clean drinking water.

Facts like these caused the 3 Hamburgers to pay special attention to the topic of water. And as "water professionals", the blog's authors increasingly asked themselves whether it was possible to produce products that were not only fair, sustainable and vegan, but also water-neutral. From this question developed an idea and from this idea the brand HYDROPHIL was born. A lot has happened since then and the range of water-neutral, vegan and fair products is constantly growing.

At the same time, buying a HYDROPHIL brand product does something good: 10% of the profits are donated to the non-profit association Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e. V. , which is committed to humane access to clean drinking water and basic sanitation.
